Son of Spam is 60 pound combat bot designed for the 2011 Robogames. It's designed to be a high powered pusher bot that rams opponents into the railings. It's milled from 7075 aircraft grade aluminum with 4 wheel chain drive that is powered by two ampflow 3HP motors. Most of the components are CNC milled on a tormach machine. The speed controller consists of two Victor 885 h-bridges and our own custom designed mixer board. It is fitted with 7075 Barbed Wedges designed to lift and snag opponents. Internally mounted Nokia 6700 Slide 3.5G 5mp carl zeiss phone with Qik webcasting software used as the basis for the SpamCamTM, for in-bot live webcasting. We believe this may be the first battle that's simultaneously webcast from within a bot. Look at the Live Webcast and Previous recordings section for a view of the battle from inside the arena.
